Birds and the Boy
There was a boy named Peter. He was living in the countryside villages. He used to live alone in a house. The house was well ventilated and had 3 windows, so there were 2-3 nests of birds on the ventilators.
The boy used to go to the school every day in the morning and then used to return home at evening. His parents used to live in town and they sent him near his grandparents to live but he had separate home from them. The boy was excellent in the academics and always used to score great marks and had good position in the class.
Every evening he used to feed the birds with the wheat which he used to bring specially for them. This was happening since 2-3 years so there was a bond between him and birds. Every day the birds used to gather around the ground where he fed them. He was so regular and punctual in feeding them that one could never see any birds there without him feeding them. Whenever he used to get ill and was unable to go to feed them, then the birds used to come to his window and they starts to sing in their voices.
One day, Peter went to town to meet his parents but the birds always used to gather around the ground and after seeing no one for much time they used to fly away. Peter didn’t come for a month, so after some days birds stopped coming to the place. When Peter returned to the village, he went to the ground in the evening time to feed the birds but to his surprise there were no birds.
He sadly came to his house, and didn’t eat food that night. He was unable to sleep that night thinking why didn’t the birds come there. Next morning, he went to school and left the window opened. He was even unable to concentrate on his studies due to that event. He loved birds so much and was missing them very much. After school he came home and he saw some birds near his windows, so his sadness turned into happiness but when he went near the window he saw 2 baby-birds dead, who had fallen down from nest due to heavy wind.
He became very sad and was regretting that why did he forgot to close the window. He felt like if birds were cursing him about that and tears came out of his eye. Everything was happening bad with him and he had no idea about how to make things alright. Many days passed but none birds used to come to field.
One day, a hunter came to hunt down the birds. In the evening time, when boy saw hunter he strongly opposed him and warned him that he would complain about him in the nearest police station but hunter neglected. The boy became really angry as he was unable to see any bird dying in front of him. As soon as hunter started to hunt down birds the boy just took his gun and ran away for police station, but already the hunter had hurt 2 birds. The hunter was taken under supervision of police and was jailed as it was crime in his country to kill birds or any animal. The boy immediately rushed the birds to the veterinary hospital and somehow birds were saved as they were not seriously injured. The boy took care of them for the time till they became fine and then he fled them away.
After some days to his surprise he saw many birds coming near the ground where he used to feed them. He became very happy and thereafter he started his old routine.
