A trekking expedition

22. January 2009

I am Nakul, an engineering student and specialize in electronics and communication. At the time of this trekking expedition I was in my first year. My semester end exams had just finished. Me and my friends had planned beforehand to go for trekking or river rafting whichever would be feasible after the examinations. So, the time had come to enjoy and we decided to go for trekking at Aravali hills in Rajasthan, India. I heard about the two day trekking programs which my friends had gone before. All of them said that it was a good getaway and an adventure outing. So I was very excited to go there and was eagerly waiting for it.
Finally the day we had to go came. It was a chilly Monday morning with a little bit of sun showing up behind the clouds. We left for the railway station at six in the morning. Then we took a train to Jaipur from where we had to take a bus for the hilly area of the Aravalis. Finally we reached their by two in the afternoon.
There were hills all around and I got excited by the scenic beauty around. We joined a group of other tourists who had come for trekking to. Then the people who were organizing the trekking divide us in groups of fifty. An instructor was also assigned to each group for helping out the people. As the trekking are was not so steep, we didn’t need any special equipment except a strong pair of shoes with good grip.

Forest Safari

20. January 2009

There was a huge jungle in a country. The jungle had many wild animals , some were dangerous such as Tiger, Lion where as some were friendly deer, rabbit etc. The jungle was known for its lush greenery and many types of birds also lived there. Whole ecosystem of the forest was very pleasant and there always used to be a certain type of calmness in the forest. The forest was so dense that in some places even it was difficult to find sunlight falling on the ground and there was always dark in those places.

The forest had a resort for the tourists. There was a safari trip planned in forest,  although they weren’t allowed to go to the core area. Core area generally was the area of dangerous animals and people were abandoned to go there for their security. It was only the forest staff who were allowed to go inside those areas and generally even they didn’t prefer to go there in the core area.

A fair loan

19. January 2009

An Indian man walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan officer. He tells the loan officer that he is going to India on business for two weeks and need $5,000. The bank officer tells him that bank will need some sort of security to give him loan. So the Indian hands over the documents and keys of his new Ferrari parked in the streets in front of bank. The bank officer agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan.

The bank president and his officer all enjoy a good laugh on Indian for using $250,000 Ferrari as a collateral just for $5,000 loan. A bank employee then drives the car and parks it into the bank’s underground garage.

After two weeks Indian returns and repay $5,000 and interest which comes out $15.41. The loan officer says, sir we are very happy to have had your business. And this deal worked out very nicely but while you were away, we checked your profile and found that you are a millionaire. What puzzle us that why you would you bother to borrow $5,000. The Indian replies “Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return.

The last will and the one camel

19. January 2009

There was a person in United Arab Emirates. He had 17 camels and he made a will for his 3 sons. When he died then lawyer disclosed his will to his son in which it was mention “I have only assets with me 17 camels and after my death my first son will get half of them, second will get one third of them, last son will get one ninth of them.” When all three listen this, they were confused that how they can distribute camels like this they can not cut a camel to distribute. They called a person from a consultancy company from India to resolve the problem. That person listen the matter and said, take my one camel and then distribute. So now they have total 18 camels and first son got one half of total, 9 camels. Second son got 6 camels. And third son got 2 camels. But still one camel was remained then Indian said now return my camel to me and my consultancy fees and he returned to his place.

My first road accident

19. January 2009

It was a bright sunny day when I woke up and thus a perfect day for bike riding. I got up at seven in the morning and got ready for my college in an hour. I very enthusiastically wished my mom and dad goodbye and took the stairs to get to the ground floor where my bike is parked. And there it was, my first motorcycle shining brightly in black. I had just cleaned and polished it yesterday so it was shining like new one although it was a year old. I just cleaned up the pecks of dust on it, put on my helmet and gloves and I was ready to go for my college. Den ganzen Beitrag lesen »
